Kicker CompQ Subwoofers

Kicker CompQ subwoofers are the premium daily-bass path in the Kicker lineup. CompQ is for customers who want clean, controlled low end with more output than a basic bass upgrade, but without jumping straight into a SoloX-style build.

CompQ Size Guide

Size Power Planning Enclosure Direction Best Use
10-inch CompQ Verify exact RMS by model before sale. Compact sealed or ported daily system when space is limited. Trucks, smaller trunks, clean bass without using much space.
12-inch CompQ Verify exact RMS and impedance by model before sale. Balanced sealed or ported daily bass build. Most common daily-driver CompQ path.
15-inch CompQ Verify exact RMS, coil configuration, and enclosure needs before sale. Larger enclosure with deeper low-end potential. SUVs, trunks, and customers with more available box space.

Important Spec Correction

This page previously included numeric CompQ RMS, sensitivity, and frequency-response values. Those numbers should not stay live unless each value is verified against the exact current Kicker model page. I removed the unverified numeric table and replaced it with safer model-planning guidance until each SKU is checked.

How We Build Around CompQ

CompQ works best when the woofer, box, amplifier, impedance, wiring, and electrical support are matched together. The enclosure is not optional planning — it decides how the subwoofer behaves in the vehicle.

  • Use CompQ for clean daily bass: A good fit for customers who want strong bass that stays controlled.
  • Match amplifier power correctly: The amp should be chosen around the exact woofer model and final impedance.
  • Build the enclosure around the woofer: Airspace, port tuning, and box strength decide the final output.
  • Plan wiring and fusing: CompQ systems still need proper OFC wire, ground, fuse protection, and gain setup.
