Kicker SoloX Subwoofers
Kicker SoloX Subwoofers
Kicker SoloX subwoofers are for high-output bass systems where the sub, box, amplifier, wiring, electrical, and tuning all need to be planned together. SoloX should not be sold like a simple drop-in subwoofer.
SoloX Planning Guide
| Planning Area | Why It Matters | SMS Focus |
|---|---|---|
| Exact SoloX Model | Size, coil configuration, RMS, and enclosure requirements vary by model. | Verify current model specs before selling. |
| Custom Enclosure | SoloX needs the box designed around the woofer and goal. | Plan airspace, port area, tuning, bracing, and vehicle loading. |
| Amplifier Power | High-output bass needs the correct amplifier and impedance match. | Match with Warhorse/LX or other appropriate power after the final load is known. |
| Electrical Support | Big bass systems can outgrow stock charging and battery support. | Review battery, alternator, OFC wire, fuse protection, and grounds. |
Important Spec Note
This page intentionally avoids exact SoloX numeric specs until each current Kicker SKU is verified. SoloX specs matter too much to rely on memory, old catalogs, or copied data.
Power and Electrical
A SoloX build needs the amplifier load, power wire, ground, battery support, fuse protection, subsonic filtering, and gain setup planned before installation. This is the Kicker bass path where we talk about the whole electrical foundation, not just the subwoofer.
