High-output bass
Large mono amplifiers and multi-sub systems can require substantially more charging support than the factory system was designed to provide.

A high-output alternator can help when the audio system demands more current than the factory charging system can comfortably supply. The correct alternator still depends on the exact vehicle, engine, electrical demand, wiring, batteries, and how the system is used.
The peak amp rating is only one detail. Vehicle fitment, output at idle and driving RPM, belt drive, wiring, batteries, and the total electrical load all matter.
SMS sells equipment online and over the counter. Installation, fabrication, factory integration, and tuning are available when you want the shop to complete more of the job.
AUTOTECH ENGINEERING • HIGH-OUTPUT ALTERNATORS • CHARGING SUPPORT
A high-output alternator can support a larger audio and accessory load when the factory charging system is no longer enough. The correct unit depends on the exact vehicle, engine, battery chemistry, electrical layout and how the system is actually used.
We do not add an alternator because the amplifier has a big wattage number. We build the charging system around the current demand and the output target.
Large mono amplifiers and multi-sub systems can require substantially more charging support than the factory system was designed to provide.
Several full-range and subwoofer amplifiers can create sustained current demand that needs to be considered as one electrical system.
Audio, lighting and other accessories can stack together into a larger electrical load even when no single device is the whole problem.
Additional reserve still has to be recharged. The alternator and battery system must be compatible with each other.
Alternator output changes with speed, so idle and normal cruising output can matter just as much as a headline maximum. We also verify case style, mounting ears, pulley, belt routing, regulator strategy, harness requirements, clearance and any application-specific hardware.
Battery chemistry matters too. AGM, sodium-ion, LiFePO4 and other systems can have different voltage and charging-current requirements. The alternator configuration has to agree with the battery system and vehicle electronics.

Autotech alternator and application-specific charging-control work documented in the project.
Cable size, engine/chassis grounds, fuse protection, terminations, distribution, battery support and voltage drop still have to be right. A high-output alternator does not fix undersized wiring or an incompatible battery setup.
Send the year, make, model, engine, amplifier list, current battery setup, factory alternator information, cable size, charging voltage if known and future system plan. Autotech orders are application-specific and are subject to the exact custom-order terms shown at purchase.
