Installation-bay notes

Four details that change real jobs.

A speaker-size chart is not a system design.

Depth, grille clearance, mounting strength, sealing, factory crossover behavior, impedance, available power, and the driver’s job all matter after the nominal size matches.

A factory output can change with volume.

Equalization, limiting, bass roll-off, channel bandwidth, and warning-tone behavior may change across sources or volume positions. That is why the usable signal is verified.

Gross box size is not net airspace.

Material thickness, driver and port displacement, bracing, double baffles, and internal structures come out of the volume the subwoofer actually sees.

DSP is not a repair for unfinished installation.

Mounting, polarity, noise, rattles, voltage, routing, gain structure, and mechanical problems have to be correct before final calibration begins.
