The available provider, transaction type, approved amount, merchandise or service eligibility, down payment, payment schedule, cost, APR, fees, and ownership terms are determined by the provider and the customer's agreement—not by SMS.

Available Providers May Include Different Financial Products

• Snap Finance: Depending on the offer available through SMS, Snap may facilitate lease-to-own, installment-loan, or retail-installment products. In a lease-to-own transaction, Snap purchases eligible merchandise and leases it to the approved customer until ownership requirements are completed or an early ownership option is exercised.
• Acima: Acima is a lease-to-own provider. Acima purchases eligible merchandise and leases it to the approved customer. Ownership occurs only after the customer completes the agreement's ownership requirements or exercises an available early purchase option.
• Shop Pay Installments: Eligible online or in-store customers may receive installment-payment options through Shop Pay and its lending partners. Options are subject to eligibility and can include interest-free biweekly payments or monthly payments with an APR determined at checkout.

Availability can change. The exact application, approval screen, lease, loan, retail-installment contract, or Shop Pay disclosure controls the transaction.

Lease-to-Own Is Not the Same as a Traditional Loan

Under a lease-to-own agreement, the provider owns the merchandise during the lease. The customer makes renewal payments and may obtain ownership by completing the agreement or using an available early purchase option. The maximum-term payment path can cost substantially more than the cash price.

• Approval is not guaranteed.
• No-credit-history or no-credit-needed marketing does not mean that no consumer-report information is obtained.
• Early ownership options, deadlines, and total cost vary by agreement.
• The customer is not automatically enrolled in every early purchase option.
• The customer should read the complete agreement before accepting the transaction.

Shop Pay Installments

Shop Pay Installments is subject to customer and merchant eligibility. In the United States, available payment options depend on order amount and approval. Monthly options can carry an APR, and a down payment may be required. The checkout disclosure identifies the actual payment schedule and financing partner.

Orders paid through Shop Pay Installments generally cannot be edited after payment. A material order change may require a refund and a new transaction. Refund timing and installment-account adjustments are handled through Shopify Payments and the financing provider.

What a Payment Option May Cover

Eligible items depend on the provider, the agreement, and how the transaction is processed. Products or project components that may be eligible include:

• Speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, processors, source units, cameras, batteries, alternators, wiring, and other approved merchandise.
• Complete product packages when the provider permits the merchandise and transaction amount.
• Installation or service charges only when the specific provider and transaction explicitly allow them.
• Custom or special-order work only when SMS and the provider approve the transaction before materials or products are ordered.

Do not assume that an approval amount applies to every product, labor charge, deposit, custom item, shipping charge, tax, or project type.

Plan the System Before Applying

A payment approval does not confirm vehicle fitment or system compatibility. SMS should first identify the products, labor, wiring, integration, enclosure, fabrication, electrical support, and tuning required by the vehicle.

A complete plan reduces the risk of financing mismatched equipment, inadequate electrical support, incorrect speaker fitment, the wrong enclosure, or an incomplete project.

Important Customer Responsibilities

• Review the cash price, total of payments, APR or cost of lease, term, payment frequency, initial payment, late or returned-payment terms, early purchase options, cancellation or return rights, and provider contact information.
• Confirm whether the agreement is a lease-to-own transaction, loan, retail-installment contract, or installment-payment plan.
• Understand that provider approval and SMS project approval are separate decisions.
• Make payments directly as required by the provider agreement.
• Contact the provider for application, payment, ownership, credit-reporting, account, or agreement questions.
• Contact SMS before changing or returning an order because provider-paid transactions can require a specific refund process.

SMS Payment and Project Policies Still Apply

• Installation appointments generally require a 50% deposit unless an approved payment arrangement states otherwise.
• Custom and one-of-a-kind orders must be paid in full before production and remain non-refundable and non-cancelable, except where applicable law or the provider agreement requires otherwise.
• Special-order products may require payment before ordering.
• Provider approval does not reserve an appointment or begin production until SMS confirms the project and payment status.
• SMS installs equipment supplied through SMS Car Audio and does not accept customer-supplied products.

Information to Send SMS

Provide the vehicle year, make, model, trim, factory audio package, current installed equipment, desired result, budget range, project timeline, and useful photos. SMS can prepare the project scope before directing you to an available provider or checkout option.

Do not submit sensitive financial information, bank information, Social Security numbers, or account passwords to SMS by text or email. Enter that information only through the provider's authorized application.
