Looking at an older SMS Focal build? Use it to understand the system, not to copy an old parts list.
SMS has documented Focal systems in the project archive, but Focal is not a current supported new-product line at SMS. A one-off open-box Focal item may still appear in closeout inventory; that does not mean we are carrying the current Focal lineup.
The useful part of these older builds is the system design: speaker placement, mounting, power, DSP, factory integration and tuning all had to work together.

Component system
A woofer and tweeter still need rigid mounting, the right passive or active crossover plan and amplifier power that matches the system.
Three-way front stage
Adding a midrange can improve control over the front stage, but it also adds mounting, amplifier-channel and DSP requirements.
Fully active system
Independent channels give us control of crossover, level, delay and EQ for each speaker section when the installation supports it.
A more expensive driver does not fix a weak installation.
Flexible mounting, air leaks, reversed polarity, unsafe crossover settings, poor gain structure or a heavily processed factory signal can hold back any speaker. We build the physical installation and signal path first, then use tuning to finish the system.

The active store currently contains an open-box Focal TWU 1.5 tweeter pair. It is closeout-style inventory, not evidence that Focal has returned as a supported current line.
