Lit FX App Privacy Policy

Lit FX is provided by SMS Car Audio. This policy explains how the Lit FX mobile app handles information when you use it to control supported Bluetooth LED controllers.

Information we collect

The current Lit FX app does not require an account and does not collect, sell, or share personal information for advertising, analytics, or profiling.

Bluetooth and nearby-device access

Lit FX uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to discover, connect to, read status from, and control supported LED controllers. The app may store controller names, Bluetooth addresses, and controller settings locally on your device so it can reconnect and restore your setup. This information is not transmitted to SMS Car Audio by the current app.

Location permission on older Android versions

On Android 11 and earlier, Android may require location permission for Bluetooth device discovery. Lit FX uses that permission only to enable BLE discovery. The app does not use it to determine, store, or transmit your physical location.

Internet and third-party services

The current app does not use an account service, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or cloud tracking service, and it does not require internet access for normal LED control.

Data retention and deletion

Controller information and preferences stored by Lit FX remain locally on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.

Children

Lit FX is a hardware-control utility and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If a future version adds a feature that collects or transmits data, this policy and the applicable app-store disclosures will be updated before that feature is released.
