Description
ARC Audio A10 D2 — Shallow 10-Inch Dual 2-Ohm Subwoofer
Shallow box. Real 10-inch bass. Dual 2-ohm coils when the amplifier plan needs the lower-load wiring option.
Trying to get a proper subwoofer under or behind a seat where a conventional woofer simply will not fit?
That’s where the A10 D2 makes sense.
The A10 keeps the enclosure depth under control without dropping all the way down to a tiny woofer just because space is tight. At SMS, this is the version we look at when the vehicle needs a shallow 10 and the amplifier/system layout works best with dual 2-ohm voice coils.
Why the D2 version?
A single dual 2-ohm A10 can be wired to a 1-ohm or 4-ohm final load. That gives us useful options when we are matching the woofer to a mono amplifier before the box and wiring are finalized. The impedance choice is about the system—not one version sounding “better” than the other.
This is why we’d use it
When seat clearance and enclosure depth are the hard limits, the A10 lets us put the available space into a properly designed enclosure instead of wasting it trying to clear a deeper motor structure. We still build the box around the woofer and the vehicle; shallow does not mean enclosure design stops mattering.

Where this fits in the build
The subwoofer is only one part of the bass system. Enclosure volume and alignment, final impedance, amplifier power, vehicle space and electrical support all affect the result.
