Description
The ARC Audio Falcon combines twelve channels of Class-D amplification with a sixteen-channel ARC Audio Pro Series DSP platform in one compact chassis. It was designed for complex active systems, factory-audio integration, and high-channel-count installations that would otherwise require separate amplifiers and signal processors.
Each amplified channel is rated at 75 watts into 4 ohms or 125 watts into 2 ohms, and adjacent channel pairs can be bridged to produce up to six 250-watt channels into 4 ohms. Four additional DSP-controlled preamp outputs provide processing and routing for external amplifiers, giving the Falcon sixteen total DSP output channels.
The signal-processing section uses an Analog Devices ADAU1462 processor with dual AKM Velvet Sound converters and ARC Audio DNA software. It supports optical and digital-over-copper inputs, iDatalink Maestro AR integration, high-level inputs up to 32 volts, extensive equalization, flexible crossover alignments, all-pass filters, time alignment, input summing, matrix mixing, and six system presets.
