Description

ARC Audio SRI Signal Summing Module

A modern factory amplifier may not send one useful full-range signal anywhere in the vehicle. The tweeter gets highs, the door gets midbass, another channel may carry a different band, and none of those outputs by itself contains the whole musical signal. Feeding one of those channels straight into an aftermarket amplifier or processor leaves information missing before tuning even starts.

The SRI is built for that problem. It accepts multiple factory speaker-level channels and can sum the band-limited pieces back together into a usable signal path for the aftermarket system.

What it solves

If the factory system has already divided the music with its own crossovers, EQ and amplifier routing, simply adding an amplifier does not restore the missing bands. The SRI gives the installer 2-, 4- or 6-channel high-level input capability and selectable summing or pass-through operation so the incoming architecture can be rebuilt around the actual vehicle.

Setup indicators help identify the usable signal and simplify level adjustment instead of relying on guesswork. ARC also provides a separate auxiliary RCA input with remote level control, allowing a second source to be integrated when the system design needs it.

SRI vs. NGM vs. BXM

Choose SRI when the factory signal is split across several speaker channels and needs to be recombined before the aftermarket system can use it properly.

Choose NGM when the signal is otherwise correct but carries standing hiss or background noise that needs to be gated during quiet periods.

Choose BXM when the signal is usable and the goal is perceived bass extension rather than factory-signal reconstruction.

System note: summing can reconstruct frequency bands that are present across the factory outputs, but it cannot create information the OEM source has removed entirely. The factory signal should still be measured before the final DSP and amplifier architecture is chosen.
