Description

ARC Audio SW10D2 — 10-Inch Dual 2-Ohm Ultra-Shallow Subwoofer

Choose the SW10D2 when the smaller 10-inch footprint and 2.4-inch mounting depth are what make the enclosure possible, and the amplifier plan calls for the load options created by dual 2-ohm coils. One SW10D2 can be configured for a 1- or 4-ohm final load. That is the reason to choose D2 over D4; the acoustic platform is still the same SW10.

ARC rates the SW10 at 350 watts RMS / 700 watts peak with 14.7 mm of one-way Xmax and a 0.60 cu. ft. recommended sealed volume. Compared with the SW12, the 10 gives up cone area and some low-frequency capability to solve a tighter packaging problem. Use it for under-seat, seat-back, down-fire and stealth work where a conventional-depth 10 or the larger SW12 simply does not fit correctly.

Where this fits in the build

The subwoofer is only one part of the bass system. Enclosure volume and alignment, final impedance, amplifier power, vehicle space and electrical support all affect the result.
