Description

BOSS Elite BE880B — Single-DIN 7-Inch Motorized Touchscreen CD/DVD Receiver

The BE880B solves a very specific fitment problem: a vehicle has only a single-DIN radio opening, but the customer still wants a 7-inch touchscreen and disc playback. The screen motorizes out of the chassis when needed, so you get more display area than a conventional single-DIN face without permanently cutting the dash for a double-DIN radio.

The tradeoff is just as important as the feature. A motorized screen needs clear space to deploy, so vents, dash trim, controls and shifter movement all need to be checked. It also has more moving hardware than a fixed-screen receiver. This model offers wired A-LINK screen mirroring, including Android two-way control, as BOSS describes it, but screen mirroring is not Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. If app-based navigation and native phone integration are the priority, one of the ACP models is the better radio.

Where the BE880B still makes sense is a single-DIN vehicle where CD/DVD playback, Bluetooth and a deployable touchscreen are the actual requirements.

RADIO / OEM FUNCTION FIT

Where this fits in the build

The source unit has to fit more than the dash opening. Steering-wheel controls, factory cameras, amplified audio, chimes, USB, vehicle settings and data integration can change the correct installation path.

Plan aroundConfirm dash fitment and the factory features that must remain.
Match itMatch the radio to phone, camera, audio and interface requirements.
Finish itUse the correct vehicle interface instead of sacrificing OEM functions unnecessarily.
