DB Drive WDX1NTW 1.25-Inch High-Output NEO Tweeters — Pair

Have enough midrange output but the system still gets dull or buried on the top end when you turn it up? That is where the WDX1NTW fits. DB Drive built this pair as a high-output tweeter with a compact neodymium motor, so you can add real high-frequency output without trying to squeeze a deep bullet tweeter or large horn into the panel.

The elliptical die-cast aluminum waveguide is a big part of why we would use this tweeter. DB Drive designed it for strong off-axis response, which matters when the tweeter cannot be aimed perfectly at the listener. The ultra-shallow construction also gives us more freedom in doors, sail panels, custom pods, and other tight locations where depth is the problem.

Each tweeter uses a 1.25-inch / 31.75 mm voice coil and titanium diaphragm with a neodymium motor. DB Drive rates the WDX1NTW at 125 watts nominal, 300 watts maximum, 4 ohms, and 104 dB sensitivity. A 6 dB/octave passive crossover is included, and the diaphragm is replaceable if it ever needs service.

What they will not do: these are dedicated high-frequency drivers, not full-range speakers. DB Drive does not publish a frequency-response range or universal crossover frequency on the current product page, so we would not make one up. The included passive crossover provides basic filtering, but the final high-pass strategy still needs to match the mids, amplifier, and system design.
