Use this when a high-output horn section needs real compression-driver efficiency without the size/weight of a large ferrite motor. DS18 rates it 150W RMS, 300W max, 110 dB sensitivity and 8 ohms.
SYSTEM ROLE
This is a 1-inch bolt-on compression driver, not a complete horn and not a midbass speaker. Pair it with a compatible horn/waveguide and choose the amplifier/wiring around the 8-ohm load.
DS18 publishes a 500Hz–18kHz response and recommends a 600Hz high-pass point.
