Description
GALEFORCE AUDIO G3 6.5-INCH MIDRANGE — 4 OHM
WHY THIS ONE MAKES SENSE
This is the compact G3 when the system needs a dedicated high-output midrange but panel space is limited. GaleForce rates the 6.5 at 200W RMS with 93 dB sensitivity, a 2-inch voice coil, and a recommended 100 Hz–10,000 Hz operating range. It is sold individually and is meant to work as the midrange section of a properly crossed multi-way system—not as a conventional full-range coaxial.
WHY 4 OHM
Choose the 4-ohm version when the number of speakers per channel and the amplifier's rated load make 4 ohms the right starting point. Two equal 4-ohm G3s wired in parallel present a 2-ohm final load. That can work well on an amplifier designed for it, but it is exactly why impedance needs to be chosen before buying several speakers instead of after the system is already wired.
6.5 OR 8
The G3 6.5 and 8 share the same 200W RMS rating and 100 Hz–10,000 Hz recommended operating range. The 6.5 is rated at 93 dB sensitivity; the larger 8 is rated at 95 dB. Pick the 6.5 when fit, placement, or fitting more drivers into a panel matters more than moving to the larger cone area.
SYSTEM ROLE
Pair the G3 with a dedicated high-frequency driver such as the GaleForce T25 and control the handoff with proper crossovers or DSP. GaleForce recommends raising the G3 high-pass point as applied power increases.
IMPORTANT WEATHER NOTE
The G3 uses a paper cone and GaleForce identifies it as non-weather-resistant. Use it only in a protected, dry mounting location.

Where this fits in the build
This driver can be useful in motorcycle and high-output systems, but it is not intended for exposed or wet locations. Use it only where the mounting location stays protected and dry, then match the driver to the required bandwidth and output.
Plan aroundConfirm the mounting location stays protected from water and direct weather exposure.
Match itMatch usable bandwidth, impedance and amplifier power to the job this driver is doing.
Finish itUse proper crossover protection, rigid mounting and system tuning so the driver is not asked to work outside its intended range.
