Description

iDatalink Maestro A2B-AR-FO4 — Earlier Ford A2B Amplifier Replacement T-Harness

FO4 is for the earlier supported Ford A2B amplifier family. The ADS-A2B module can understand the digital network, but it still needs this vehicle-specific connection when the original amplifier wiring matches the FO4 application.

Published examples include selected 2017–2019 Escape and 2017–2020 Fusion systems using the compatible Sony-amplified A2B architecture. That does not make FO4 a universal “older Ford” harness. FO4 and FO5 are different amplifier connections, and overlapping years or a premium-audio badge are not enough to choose between them.

On the correct vehicle, FO4 connects the factory amplifier wiring to ADS-A2B, provides six RCA signal connections for the replacement amplifier and gives the new amplifier a six-channel route back into the original speaker wiring. The factory harness stays intact while the aftermarket system takes over the amplification job.

Confirm the exact year, model and factory audio architecture before ordering. ADS-A2B and the replacement amplifier or DSP/amplifier system are sold separately.
