Description

iDatalink Maestro ACC-VID1 Factory Camera Video Noise Filter & Signal Adapter

A factory backup camera can be working fine and still look terrible on the new radio if the camera signal and the aftermarket video input are not electrically the same.

ACC-VID1 is for supported Maestro radio-replacement applications where the factory camera uses a double-ended composite signal and the new receiver expects single-ended composite video. It converts that signal into the format the aftermarket radio can use and filters the video path to help clean up the fuzzy or interference-filled image that can show up when the factory camera is connected the wrong way.

That means we can keep a good OEM camera in its original location instead of replacing it just because the new radio does not speak the same video language.

Fix the Signal Problem, Not the Camera

When a retained factory camera comes up blurry, noisy or unstable after a radio swap, the camera itself is not automatically bad. The mismatch between the factory double-ended signal and the radio's single-ended input can be the real problem.

Where the Maestro application calls for VID1, the adapter connects through the compatible vehicle-specific harness path and provides the camera signal the new radio expects. That keeps the camera retention inside the supported integration path instead of chasing random grounds or installing another camera to work around a signal issue.

RR, RR2 and SR Applications Can Use It

ACC-VID1 is not limited to RR and RR2. Maestro SR installations can also use VID1 in supported applications. The exact vehicle, harness, firmware and camera architecture still decide whether it belongs in the install.

The Rest of the Camera Features Still Depend on the Application

ACC-VID1 handles the supported video conversion and filtering. Features such as dynamic guidelines, multiple camera views or automatic camera switching depend on the exact vehicle, aftermarket radio and Maestro firmware. The adapter does not add those features by itself.

It also does not add a camera to a vehicle that never had one, and it does not replace the compatible Maestro module or vehicle-specific harness. Use it only when the application specifies the VID1 signal path.

Where this fits in the build

This is a system-control or DSP component. The correct choice depends on the signal path, channel count, routing, retained features and the rest of the amplifier and speaker plan.
