iDatalink Maestro MIC1 OEM Microphone Retention Interface
ADS-MIC1 is for supported radio-replacement jobs where keeping the factory-installed microphone is preferable to mounting a new aftermarket mic.
The MIC1 is a web-programmable microphone interface for select vehicles. It is compatible with Maestro RR, RR2 and SR radio-replacement solutions in supported applications, with vehicle-specific coverage that changes by factory radio/audio configuration. Some applications also require the matching Maestro vehicle T-harness or microphone accessory harness.
Where MIC1 Fits
Use ADS-MIC1 only when the exact vehicle/radio configuration supports the MIC1 application. A matching year or brand by itself is not enough. Factory amplifier, premium-audio package, screen/radio architecture and the selected Maestro radio-replacement path can change the required parts.
This part solves a specific retention problem: it lets a supported aftermarket radio use the vehicle's OEM microphone path instead of adding another visible microphone. It does not replace the main RR, RR2 or SR integration module when that module is required, and it does not perform ANC bypass.
