The Infinite Offroad Blackout tail light is for the Jeep owner who wants the rear lighting to disappear into a darker build instead of standing out like a bright factory housing. It keeps the install Jeep-specific with the correct JL plug and direct factory connection, so the appeal is not just the look—the fitment is straightforward too.
The tradeoff needs to be stated clearly: the Blackout lens is fully tinted. Infinite’s published dealer information notes that light output through the tinted area is reduced compared with the non-tinted version. If maximum visible output matters more than the blacked-out appearance, choose one of the lighter-lens options instead.
Why This One Makes Sense
If the Jeep already has black trim, dark wheels, smoked lighting or a full blackout theme, this version keeps the tail light from becoming the one bright piece left on the back of the vehicle. Know the BSM Limitation Before You Order
This tail light does not retain the factory blind-spot monitoring system. If your JL has BSM and you want that system kept functional, this is not the right tail light for the build.
Factory Non-LED to LED May Need Programming
Infinite notes that JL/JT vehicles moving from a factory non-LED setup to LED or aftermarket LED tail lights may require a vehicle-settings update. The light can physically plug into the factory connection and the Jeep can still need its lighting configuration changed. Plan for that before installation.
