Description
KICKER 49L7X81 — SoloX L7X 8-Inch Competition Subwoofer — DVC 1 Ohm
Choose the 8-inch DVC 1-ohm L7X when enclosure space is the hard limit but the build still needs SoloX-level excursion and thermal capability, and the amplifier plan calls for a single woofer capable of a 0.5- or 2-ohm final load. The 8 is its own member of the family—not simply a scaled-down 10—with a 2.5-inch voice coil, 400–800-watt RMS recommended power range and 24 mm Xmax.
KICKER specifies a 0.88 ft³ vented enclosure tuned to 39 Hz. That makes this the packaging-first L7X choice. If the vehicle can support two, three or more cubic feet and the system goal is more cone area and lower-frequency extension, move up to the 10, 12, 15 or 18 instead. Also note the service difference: the L7X8 recone requires adhesive and cure time, unlike the no-glue preassembled recone used on the larger L7X models.
