Make the Open-Hood Display Carry the Same Theme as the Rest of the Jeep

This Lit FX hood prop is built for parked show use when the hood is open and you want the engine-bay display to carry the same name, colors, club identity, audio theme or artwork as the rest of the Jeep. The standard prop measures approximately 24 inches wide × 14 inches high, and custom sizing may be available when the standard dimensions do not fit the planned design.

You approve the artwork before production, choose the Lighting Type, and we build the illuminated acrylic prop around that approved layout. It is a removable display piece, so there is no permanent hood-prop hardware to install for normal show use.

The standard hood prop measures approximately 24 inches wide × 14 inches high. Custom sizing may be available and can affect final price.

Why This Piece Makes Sense

If the Jeep already has custom lighting and artwork elsewhere, the hood prop gives the open engine-bay display one more place to repeat that same identity. We would plan the graphic around how the prop is seen from the front of the vehicle, then keep the wiring simple enough to connect for display and disconnect when the show is over.

Choose the Lighting Around the Build

• Color-Chase RGB — Addressable: Dynamic color effects with static-color capability. The matching addressable controller is included.
• Solid Red: Fixed red illumination with the matching single-color controller included.
• Solid Blue: Fixed blue illumination with the matching single-color controller included.
• Solid Green: Fixed green illumination with the matching single-color controller included.

The solid-color selections do not use an addressable chase controller; they include the appropriate single-color controller instead.

Show Prop — Not a Permanent Hood Support

The prop is set into position while the Jeep is parked for display, and the open hood holds it in place. Normal show use does not require permanent mounting hardware.

Remove the prop before closing the hood or driving. Do not work beneath the hood or put any part of your body beneath it while relying on the Lit FX display prop for support.

Choose the Lighting Type and confirm whether the standard 24 × 14-inch hood prop works for the planned display. If you need a custom size, include that request with the order so we can confirm the final dimensions and any price difference before production.

This is a removable parked-show display. It is not a permanent hood support and must be removed before the hood is closed or the Jeep is driven.

After Purchase — Send Us the Vision

You do not need finished artwork before checkout. After the order is placed, email al@smscaraudio.com with your order number plus the Jeep name, theme, colors, wording, logos or approved graphics, reference photos, and anything else that helps us understand the direction.

We take it from there. SMS Car Audio / Lit FX creates the digital layout, emails the proof back to you, works through any needed changes, and begins production only after you approve the final artwork.

Power & Wiring

The matching controller and appropriate extension wiring are included. The lighting still requires a properly fused 12-volt power connection and a secure ground. The vehicle power harness is sold separately.
