MMATS Pro Audio Compression Drivers & Tweeters
High-output mids need a high-frequency section that can keep up. MMATS compression drivers and tweeters are built for systems where a conventional soft-dome tweeter would run out of output long before the midbass section does.
Why we use them: they let us keep vocals and top-end energy present in bagger, stunt-wall and other high-SPL systems without simply turning the tweeter into a harshness problem.
System requirements
- Use the correct crossover frequency and slope for the selected driver.
- Match sensitivity and amplifier gain to the midbass section; louder is not automatically better.
- Horn/throat geometry and mounting direction affect dispersion and tonal balance.
What they will not do: these are not full-range speakers. They must be integrated with a midbass/midrange section and protected from low-frequency content.

Where this fits in the build
Speaker choice should follow the listening goal and the location it has to work in. Factory replacement, sound quality, loud daily and high-output builds have different priorities.
