Soundstream Reserve SRMC-10 MagiCast — Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter — Open Box
The SRMC-10 is for the customer who already has wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and likes the radio, but is tired of plugging the phone into USB every trip. MagiCast connects to the radio’s existing compatible CarPlay/Android Auto USB port and uses Bluetooth plus Wi-Fi to turn that wired phone connection into wireless operation.
That is the whole reason this product makes sense: keep the radio you already have and remove the daily cable routine. After the initial pairing, Soundstream publishes automatic reconnection so CarPlay or Android Auto can come back up without repeating setup every time the vehicle starts.
There is an important limit. SRMC-10 does not create CarPlay or Android Auto on a radio that never supported those features. The receiver must already have a compatible wired CarPlay and/or wired Android Auto USB connection. If the radio only has a normal charging/media USB port, MagiCast is not the fix.
This SMS unit is an unused bundle take-out sold as open box. It was separated from a Soundstream Reserve package rather than sold as a sealed standalone retail unit, which is why it is listed differently from a normal new-in-box SRMC-10.
