PAC AP4-GM71 AmpPRO 4 2019+ GM Bose Ethernet Amplifier Integration

GM moved the newer Bose systems onto an Ethernet-based digital audio network. GM71 is the AmpPRO interface for the supported vehicles where the factory Bose amplifier needs to come out of that network cleanly.

AP4-GM71 extracts the audio from the vehicle’s digital architecture and provides front, rear and non-fading/subwoofer outputs for the aftermarket system while keeping the factory radio and supported vehicle audio functions in place. The new DSP or amplifiers get a usable signal foundation without being stacked behind the factory Bose amplifier.

That is the key distinction from GM61. GM61 works with the older MOST50 Bose architecture and keeps the supported factory amplifier connected for communication. GM71 belongs to the newer Ethernet system, and the factory Bose amplifier cannot remain in the supported installation. PAC includes the amplifier-bypass harness because the new system is replacing that stage.

Analog and Optical Are Both Built In

GM71 provides 5V RMS front, rear and non-fading/subwoofer analog outputs for a conventional amplifier or DSP input. It also includes a variable two-channel TOSLINK optical output. If the processor accepts optical, the digital handoff is already part of the interface rather than something we add with a separate APA-TOS1.

Factory volume, fade, balance, bass, mid and treble remain integrated in supported applications. PAC also retains warning chimes, navigation prompts, Bluetooth audio and telematics audio where equipped, so replacing the factory amplifier does not mean stripping the vehicle of the audio functions tied to the original system.

Fitment Comes From the Network, Not the Bose Badge

A 2019+ Chevrolet, GMC or Cadillac with Bose is not automatically a GM71 vehicle. The exact year, model, infotainment architecture and factory amplifier all have to match PAC’s application data.

PAC also calls out connector selection during installation. The data-wire positions have to match the correct factory connector; using the wrong connector can leave the system with no audio even when the rest of the harness appears to fit.
