PAC AP4-TY14 AmpPRO 4 2022+ Toyota JBL Amplifier Integration
TY14 is for the newer supported Toyota premium-audio architecture using PAC’s 30-, 28- and 10-pin connection family. The factory radio stays, but the aftermarket system gets a cleaner place to start than the processed output of the JBL amplifier.
AP4-TY14 provides front, rear and non-fading/subwoofer preamp outputs for an aftermarket DSP or amplifiers while retaining the supported factory controls and vehicle audio functions. The customer keeps the factory interface; the new system gets the signal access needed to build a proper amplifier or DSP upgrade behind it.
TY14 Is a Different Toyota Family, Not Just a Newer TY13
The 2022+ headline is only part of the fitment. TY14 belongs to supported vehicles using PAC’s specified 30-, 28- and 10-pin connection set. TY13 covers another late-model Toyota/Lexus architecture, so we use PAC’s exact application data rather than choosing the highest TY number because the vehicle is newer.
On supported TY14 installations, the compatible factory amplifier can remain connected where the system design calls for it. That gives us flexibility to replace selected amplified channels or build the system in stages instead of making every job an all-or-nothing amplifier replacement.
Where It Fits in the New System
The 5V RMS front, rear and non-fading/subwoofer outputs can feed aftermarket amplifiers directly or go into a DSP for crossover, EQ, time alignment and routing. Factory volume, fade, balance, bass, mid and treble stay integrated in supported applications, along with Bluetooth audio, navigation prompts and warning chimes where PAC supports them.
If the DSP or amplifier accepts optical, the analog-based TY14 path can use the optional APA-TOS1 for a 48 kHz / 24-bit TOSLINK output. The included sub-level controller gives the customer separate bass-level adjustment after the system is tuned.
