PAC GM1A-R RadioPRO Advanced
GM1A-R is for supported GM radio-replacement jobs where the factory chimes and amplifier need to stay in the system, but steering-wheel-control retention is handled through an optional compatible interface rather than built into this model.
That makes GM1A-R a different architecture from GM1A-RS and GM1A-RST. Do not choose between them by price alone; the vehicle’s retained-feature requirements decide the correct part.
Where It Fits
Use GM1A-R only when the exact vehicle, factory radio and audio architecture support this interface. Bose/non-Bose configuration, OnStar requirements, steering-wheel-control strategy and data-bus generation can change the required path.

Where this fits in the build
The source unit has to fit more than the dash opening. Steering-wheel controls, factory cameras, amplified audio, chimes, USB, vehicle settings and data integration can change the correct installation path.
