DII1600.1 — Mono Amplifier — 1600W RMS @ 1Ω
Choose DII1600.1 when the sub stage has outgrown the DII600.1 and the final load is 1 ohm. It doubles the 2-ohm output of the entry model and gives a properly wired high-output daily bass system substantially more headroom without jumping into the 3,300- or 5,100-watt electrical demands of the larger DII monos.
SMS would use this around a subwoofer system that really wants roughly 1,000 watts at 2 ohms or 1,600 watts at 1 ohm. At this point power wire, external fuse protection, battery condition and charging voltage become part of the amplifier decision; the amp cannot make its rated output if the vehicle cannot feed it.
