Description
Recoil RX65 — 6.5-Inch Echo Pro Coaxial Speakers — Pair
If the factory speakers sound tired but you want to keep the install in the doors, the RX65 gives you the woofer and tweeter in one location. The fiberglass-composite cone and butyl-rubber surround handle the lower and middle part of the music, while the 1-inch silk-dome tweeter handles the top end. You do not need to find a separate tweeter location for this pair.
We would use the RX65 for a daily-driver front or rear speaker upgrade with sensible amplifier power and a properly sealed adapter. Set the gain for the speaker's usable power, then high-pass it to suit the door and listening level. A published frequency range does not tell you how low it can play safely at full volume.
Choose RX65 when the available opening and mounting depth suit a 6.5-inch speaker. Choose RX69 when the vehicle has room for the larger oval frame and you want to retain that cone area. Neither size is an automatic vehicle-specific fit: check the bolt pattern, window travel, depth and factory grille clearance before installation. The payoff is a straightforward full-range upgrade without adding separate tweeter mounting work.

Where this fits in the build
Speaker choice should follow the listening goal and the location it has to work in. Factory replacement, sound quality, loud daily and high-output builds have different priorities.
