The Volkswagen Transporter T5/T5.1 front door can create a clearance problem when an aftermarket speaker has a larger motor structure and the window glass travels behind it. These SMS Precision spacers retain the vehicle-side mounting geometry and raise the selected 165 mm / 6.5-inch-class speaker away from the factory door structure.
Each pair is made to order in-house from ASA for automotive use. The vehicle-side geometry stays fixed; the speaker opening is produced to the selected or verified cutout used for the order.

Clearance Still Has to Be Checked
The raised design is intended to help create space between the aftermarket speaker and the window glass, but it is not a blanket depth guarantee for every speaker. The buyer or installer is responsible for confirming the basket, magnet, terminal, window/regulator, door-panel, and factory-grille clearances for the selected driver.
Check the Speaker Before You Order
When the exact speaker model is available in the SMS fitment database, the opening can be produced from its verified published cutout. If the exact model is not listed, provide the required cutout measurement.
