2015 Mazda 3 6x8-to-6.5-Inch Door Speaker Conversion
Vehicle-specific conversion for the factory premium-audio 6x8-style mounting position in the supported 2015 Mazda 3. The brackets retain the matching Mazda mounting geometry and provide a platform for a dimensionally compatible 6.5-inch-class aftermarket speaker. SMS Precision sells the adapters only, not a particular speaker brand.
Fitment Requirements
- Vehicle: Supported 2015 Mazda 3 with the documented factory premium-audio 6x8-style bracket. The standard factory-audio mounting pattern and other model years have not been verified for this design.
- Vehicle position: Compare the original mounting tabs, bolt spacing and door-side seal before ordering. An oval 6x8-looking opening is not sufficient evidence by itself.
- Replacement speaker: Confirm actual cutout, basket outer diameter, mounting-hole circle, terminal placement, magnet depth and flange clearance. Nominal 6.5-inch size does not guarantee identical speaker geometry.
- Installation: Check door glass/regulator travel, original trim and grille clearance; verify fastening and weather sealing.
- Made to size: Provide exact replacement speaker cutout, flange and mounting-hole dimensions for the selected driver.
