This SMS Precision rack is built to create an organized mounting surface beneath a compatible front-seat location in a Jeep Wrangler JL. It gives the amplifier, DSP, distribution hardware and related wiring a proper place to be secured instead of mounting electronics directly to the carpet or floor.

The rack is the mounting foundation. The final equipment layout still has to be planned around the exact amplifiers and processors being used, their connections, ventilation requirements and full seat travel.

Keep all wiring clear of the seat tracks, factory harnesses and moving mechanisms. The seat must be able to travel normally without contacting the rack, electronics or wiring.

Cooling and Service Access Matter

An underseat installation can be compact, but it still needs airflow. Follow the amplifier and processor manufacturers’ ventilation requirements and avoid stacking equipment in a way that traps heat.
