Toyota MR2 Spyder Door Speaker Adapter Pair
Upgrade the factory door speaker mounting arrangement in the Toyota MR2 Spyder (ZZW30) for compatible aftermarket 6.5-inch speakers. The purpose-shaped adapters include the vehicle mounting geometry and a provision for the original electrical plug piece to be reused where appropriate.
Fitment evidence
Developed by an MR2 owner around a 6.5-inch-class replacement driver. A separate installer reported a successful fit in a 2002 MR2 Spyder. That report supports the specific application, not every replacement speaker frame. Other MR2 Spyder model years share the platform, but exact mounting, original speaker, and replacement-driver dimensions should be checked before fabrication.
Before ordering
- Vehicle: MR2 Spyder ZZW30; 2002 is supported by a reported installation. For other model years, compare the original door speaker and mounting points.
- Included: One left-side and one right-side adapter; not two identical rings.
- Driver: Select a 6.5-inch aftermarket speaker only after confirming its actual cutout, outside frame, fastening pattern and depth; not all nominal 6.5-inch baskets are identical.
- Installation: The design provides for reuse of the original speaker-housing connector section. Installer must verify connector fit, window travel, inner panel and grille clearance.
- Hardware: OEM mounting/connector hardware may need transferring. Speakers, wiring, replacement fasteners and gasket material are not included.
Manufacturing
Black automotive ASA; made to order. CAD model contains distinct left and right solid, watertight components, each approximately 190 × 206 × 20.5 mm. Inspect and confirm the actual vehicle/speaker combination before installation.
