Select the appropriate treatment stage for each door/panel being serviced.
- Stage 1 – Speaker Treatment: Recoil speaker-area treatment with deadening directly behind the speaker and around the speaker mounting area.
- Stage 2 – Outer Skin Treatment: Stage 1 plus treatment of the accessible outer door skin. Surfaces are cleaned and prepared before material is cut, fitted, and rolled into place.
- Stage 3 – Complete Door Treatment: Multi-surface treatment of the accessible outer door skin, inner door skin/structure, speaker mounting area, and door panel/card, including required surface cleaning and preparation. Appropriate rattle-control and decoupling work may also be performed where needed.
Important pricing information: These labor rates assume SMS Car Audio is already servicing the applicable door/panel as part of a speaker installation, upgrade, or other work that already requires panel removal.
All listed prices are starting labor rates. Vehicle construction, access, panel design, condition, and required disassembly vary significantly. Some vehicles may require removal or major disturbance of window regulators, carrier plates, glass hardware, wiring, modules, vapor barriers, or other factory components. Additional labor will be charged when required.
Coverage is based on safe, practical access to each treatment area and is not represented as 100% coverage. SMS Car Audio reserves the right to adjust labor pricing based on the specific vehicle, door/panel construction, accessibility, and actual work required.
Sound-deadening material, decoupling material, specialty materials, and other consumables are billed separately unless specifically stated otherwise.
