Soundstream Reserve WHD14+ with HDHU.14HCM — 2014–2023 Harley Touring 7-Inch Head Unit
This is the straightforward WHD14+ package for a 2014–2023 Harley Touring bike that needs a factory-location radio replacement, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto and working handlebar controls without stepping all the way into the V2 feature set. Our configuration includes the HDHU.14HCM handlebar-control module, so the control-retention piece is accounted for instead of being discovered after the radio is already apart.
The WHD14+ is a strong fit when the audio system is also being upgraded. Soundstream publishes 5-volt RCA outputs for aftermarket amplifier integration, a 13-band EQ and active crossover control for the front, rear and subwoofer paths. That gives us useful source-side control for fairing speakers, bag speakers and a sub system. The built-in Class D amplifier is 2-ohm stable and Soundstream publishes 25 W x 4 RMS / 50 W x 4 maximum, but a serious motorcycle build should still use the RCA outputs to feed the proper external amplification.
Choose this standard WHD14+ package when you need normal handlebar-control integration and do not need deeper factory-system communication. If the bike has a Boom 1, Boom 2 or HD Audio OEM system that needs to remain integrated, or you want supported gauges and vehicle warnings on the radio, compare the WHD14+ + WHD.UNLOC package instead. If onboard navigation, Rally Mode and wireless rider/passenger headset audio are the real goal, move up to V2.
