Soundstream Reserve WHD.SG — 7-Inch 1998–2013 Street Glide/Ultra Head Unit
The WHD.SG makes sense when a 1998–2013 Street Glide or Ultra needs a modern radio without turning the job into a flagship electronics package. You get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM readiness, a bright 7-inch optically bonded touchscreen and built-in handlebar-control support in a radio designed around the factory fairing location.
Compared with SG.V2, the reason to choose WHD.SG is simplicity. It does not add onboard iGO navigation, Rally Mode, wireless rider/passenger headset audio or the optional Maestro gauge platform. If those are not part of the customer’s goal, there is no reason to buy features the bike will never use. Compared with WHD.9813, this keeps the screen at 7 inches instead of moving to 7.7.
The audio side is still built for a real system. Soundstream publishes 5-volt front/rear/subwoofer RCA outputs, a 13-band EQ, high-pass control for the front/rear paths and low-pass/subsonic filtering for the subwoofer output. The built-in 200-watt Class A/B amplifier is 2-ohm stable, but external amplification is the logical path for a louder fairing-and-saddlebag build.
Important fitment limit: Soundstream states that WHD.SG will NOT activate OEM Boom amplifiers. If the bike uses a factory Boom amplified system that must remain active, the system needs a different integration plan before the radio is sold.
