TPI A296 AC/DC Clamp-On Current Probe — Unused Shop Inventory
Measure high-current AC and DC circuits without opening the wire connection. The TPI A296 current clamp adapter converts current to a millivolt signal that a compatible digital multimeter or oscilloscope can read. It is useful for charging-system diagnostics, alternator-output checks, large DC loads and general electrical troubleshooting.
Condition: unused shop stock. One genuine A296 in its original retail packaging, as photographed at SMS Car Audio. The package has visible shelf/storage wear. The adapter has not been put into service, and no recent accuracy verification or calibration has been performed.

Meter Compatibility — Read Before Ordering
The A296 is an adapter, not a standalone ammeter. It needs a compatible DMM or oscilloscope with a 2,000 mV (2 V) AC/DC measurement range, a 10 MΩ input impedance and standard 19 mm-spaced input jacks. Select the proper meter function for AC versus DC current; clamp around one conductor at a time rather than an entire positive/negative cable pair.
