Vault Power Element 11 NA-100 — 100Ah Sodium-Ion Battery
The NA-100 is the top of Vault Power’s current Element 11 sodium-ion lineup and it should be chosen for the same reason you would choose a large alternator or large power cable: because the electrical system actually needs the capability. Vault publishes 100Ah capacity, 400A charging, 600A discharge and a 600A maximum alternator-charging figure, along with an application figure of up to 15,000 watts.
That 15,000-watt number is manufacturer guidance, not a shortcut around system design. A large amplifier system can draw very different current depending on amplifier efficiency, impedance, voltage, music duty cycle, clipping and the vehicle’s own electrical load. The NA-100 gives you a much larger electrical reserve and current platform, but the alternator still has to replace the energy the system uses.
The capacity jump is substantial. NA-20 is 20Ah. NA-60 is 60Ah. NA-100 is 100Ah. That extra reserve matters when the system is playing hard for longer periods, when multiple amplifiers are sharing the bank, or when idle output from the alternator cannot cover every transient demand. It does not make a weak charging system strong. If average demand stays above average alternator output, the battery will eventually discharge regardless of size.
Vault’s published current numbers are also what separate NA-100 from the smaller models. The NA-100 is rated at 600A discharge and 400A charging, with up to 600A maximum alternator charging. NA-60 is published at 360A discharge and 350A maximum alternator charging. NA-20 is published at 120A discharge and 220A maximum alternator charging. If the vehicle is already built around a very large high-output alternator, the NA-100 gives much more room for that charging system to operate within Vault’s published battery limit.
The battery operates across Vault’s published 6–16V range and is actively balanced. Active balancing helps manage the internal cells; it does not replace correct charging voltage, strong grounds, proper cable size or fuse protection. At this level, every connection in the current path matters.
NA-100 measures 13 x 6.75 x 8.88 inches and weighs 32.2 pounds. That needs to be treated as part of the installation plan. Secure mounting, terminal protection, short efficient cable routing and service access all matter when the battery can support this much current.
Choose NA-100 when the build genuinely needs 100Ah of reserve, 600A published discharge and a charging system that can take advantage of the battery’s 600A maximum alternator-charging specification. Choose NA-60 when the system needs serious reserve but falls inside the smaller model’s 350A charging-system ceiling.
