KICKER • SPEAKERS • FRONT STAGE • OPEN-AIR OUTPUT
Bad factory speakers? Start with what the new speaker has to do.
A clean daily-driver replacement and a Harley or top-off Jeep are not asking the speaker to do the same job. We look at the factory signal, mounting location, available power and the output target before choosing the KICKER family.
A speaker fitting the hole is only the first requirement. It still has to fit the system.
Plan a Speaker Upgrade Speaker Installation
Two KICKER paths we use for very different reasons.
KS • daily-driver / factory-location upgrades
Useful when the goal is a cleaner, stronger conventional speaker system. We still check adapter geometry, mounting depth, grille clearance, impedance and whether factory or aftermarket power is feeding it.

KMXL • open-air projection
Horn-loaded KMXL speakers make sense when the system has to project into a louder environment such as a motorcycle, Jeep or powersports build. They are not a substitute for planning the amplifier, charging system or speaker placement.

Why a good speaker can still sound weak.
If the adapter flexes, the door leaks, the factory channel is bandwidth-limited, the crossover is wrong or the amplifier clips, changing to a more expensive speaker does not solve the real problem. We check the mounting and the signal path before blaming the driver.
For an amplified or active front stage, crossover points, available clean power and DSP control become part of the speaker decision.

Dodge Ram • KS in factory locations
This is the normal side of KICKER: make the stock locations work better without pretending every customer needs a full fabrication build.
KS speakers →

Harley Road Glide • KMXL
The problem is different on a bike: the system has to stay clear at riding level with limited speaker and amplifier space.
KMXL speakers →

Jeep • KMXL speaker array
Top-off output takes speaker aiming, cone area, amplifier headroom and fabrication. More speakers only help when they are integrated as a system.
Tell us what is wrong with the speakers you have now.
Too quiet, harsh, no midbass, distorted at volume, or just dead factory speakers? Send the vehicle and factory audio package and we can decide whether the fix is speakers alone or speakers plus mounting, amplification, integration or DSP.
