- Check the published rating for the exact product and exact location.
- A weather-resistant grille does not automatically mean the crossover, terminals or connectors can live in direct water.
- Do not put amplifiers, fuse holders, controllers or connectors in exposed areas unless the exact component is rated and installed for that environment.
- Plan drainage so water cannot sit behind speakers, inside pods or around connections.
- UV, salt, dust, vibration and pressure washing can require different protection than splash exposure.
- Fasteners, cable support and service access must survive vibration and repeated panel removal.
