Fairing space is tight, charging capacity matters, and speakers that sound fine sitting still can disappear once the bike is moving. These are real SMS Harley and motorcycle builds showing speaker systems, DSP tuning, electrical support, source upgrades, fabrication and documented competition results.
Some of these bikes needed more speaker output. Some needed processing, source work or electrical support. The competition cards stay factual: they show the documented result and the SMS work tied to the system.
Freddy took 1st Place at the Grand Finale Car Show in Houma, Louisiana, in the motorcycle audio competition. His system layout was built and installed at SMS Car Audio.
This SMS-built motorcycle system earned two consecutive first-place results, including the 10 Speaker Class win against six other competitors at the Tru Hustlers MC Bike & Audio Show.
First-place result in the 12 Speakers and Down motorcycle audio class. The bike's system included work completed by SMS Car Audio.
KICKER KMXL speakers were installed, then the Harley was RTA-tuned using the Mosconi GA-Barnie measurement system.
The speaker and the lid did not start out as a direct match. The Cicada RR3T 6×9-inch installation was adapted to fit the Harley's 8-inch lids and finished with custom acrylic covers.
The Harley received an MMATS LSX 2600.4 for the high-frequency speakers and an LSX 4000.1 for the midbass, with Mosconi Atomo processing and a Limitless Nano HD battery supporting the system.
KICKER KMXL speakers in the fairing are powered by an ARC Audio Moto 720 amplifier. The Soundstream Reserve head unit feeds the Mosconi Atomo DSP, and the system was tuned using GA-Barnie binaural measurements.
This 2014 Road Glide was upgraded to the Soundstream Reserve Si radio, adding CarPlay and Android Auto. The radio also serves as the source for the aftermarket amplifiers.
