Motorcycle Audio · DSP · Fabrication

If you cannot hear it clearly at speed, the system is not finished.

A bike is a brutal listening environment. Wind, road noise, engine noise, weather, vibration and limited charging capacity all work against the audio system. SMS plans the fairing, lower, lid and tour-pack speakers, amplifier power, electrical support, DSP and fabrication around the motorcycle and the way you actually ride it.

Built and tuned at SMS

Loud matters. Clear, protected and reliable matters more.

Real motorcycle output comes from the whole system: efficient speakers aimed where they can work, enough clean power, charging support, protected bandwidth and tuning that keeps the system together when the volume climbs.

What changes on a bike

A motorcycle system has almost no room for shortcuts.

Placement decides usable output.Efficient speakers help, but they still need to project toward the rider and stay inside a frequency range they can handle at the power being used.
Power has to fit the bike.Amplifier size is only part of it. Current demand, battery condition, charging output, wiring and the physical room available all matter.
Crossovers keep the speakers alive.High-output motorcycle speakers can play hard when they are protected from frequencies they were never designed to reproduce. DSP adds control over crossover points, level, EQ and system balance.
Fabrication has to survive the ride.Speaker mounts, lids, pods, wiring, connectors and acrylic pieces have to handle vibration, water, heat and normal service without interfering with how the bike comes apart.
Where Music Matters

Tell us the bike, what is installed now and how loud you need it to stay while riding.

SMS can plan the speaker layout, amplification, charging support, fabrication, DSP and tuning as one motorcycle system instead of a pile of parts.

SMS motorcycle build archive

The three featured bikes above are not the whole story.

Here is the wider motorcycle record from SMS: fairing and lid work, complete systems, charging corrections, DSP tuning and competition results. Each project shows a different problem the bike needed solved.
