ARC Audio MOTO CX6 — 6.5-Inch Motorcycle/Powersports Coaxial Pair
You need more output than a normal car-door 6.5, but you do not necessarily need to jump straight to a horn-loaded speaker.
That’s where the MOTO CX6 makes sense.
At SMS, this is the 6.5-inch MOTO option we look at when the bike needs a strong, balanced coaxial that can live in a motorcycle or powersports environment. The shallower redesigned chassis helps with tight factory locations, while the sealed front face and floating tweeter layout give the speaker better protection from the environment than a conventional open coaxial design.
The big deal is usable output in the real location.
The CX6 is rated at 110 watts RMS and ARC publishes a 50 Hz–20 kHz frequency range. That gives us a speaker we can build around with the MOTO 800, PSM-Pro or another properly matched amplifier/DSP layout instead of treating the speaker like a factory replacement that just needs to make noise.
