OPEN-AIR / MOTORCYCLE / POWERSPORTS FIT
Where this fits in the build
These speakers have to work where wind, road noise, mounting space and exposure change the job. Match the driver to the actual location, output target, amplifier power and environment instead of treating it like a normal door-speaker replacement.
Plan aroundConfirm mounting location, depth, cutout and how exposed the speaker will be.
Match itMatch efficiency, usable bandwidth and clean amplifier power to the output needed at speed or outdoors.
Finish itPlan crossover, mounting, wiring and electrical support with the complete open-air system.
Description
Beyma 10MFE-4 — 10-Inch Ferrite Midbass/Midrange — 4 Ohms
Choose the 4-ohm 10MFE when efficiency and a direct 4-ohm amplifier load are the priorities. Beyma publishes this version at 102 dB sensitivity with 3.5 mm Xmax, so it is the more efficiency-focused member of the 10MFE family when a 10-inch driver needs strong output through the midbass and lower-midrange region.
This is the natural choice for one driver per amplifier channel when that channel is designed to make the required power into 4 ohms. The 8-ohm version is the better comparison when multiple drivers will share a channel or when the additional published excursion matters more than the 4-ohm model's higher sensitivity.
MANUFACTURER SPECIFICATIONS
• Model: 10MFE-4
• Nominal size: 10 inches
• Nominal impedance: 4 ohms
• Power handling: 250 W AES
• Sensitivity: 102 dB
• Published frequency range: 50 Hz–6.5 kHz
• Voice coil: 2.5 inches
• Xmax: 3.5 mm
• Motor: Ferrite
The 50 Hz published lower limit is not a universal high-pass setting. Final crossover and loading must be chosen around the actual installation and required output.
