Beyma 12SCF1300FE 12-Inch Carbon-Fiber High-Power Woofer
If the system needs a 12-inch driver to make serious low-frequency output but still stay efficient enough to work in a high-output mobile system, the 12SCF1300FE is built around power, excursion and cone control—not a giant soft suspension pretending every 12-inch has to be a conventional subwoofer.
The Beyma 12SCF1300FE is a 4-ohm ferrite low-frequency driver rated at 1,300 watts AES / 2,600 watts program, with 94 dB sensitivity, a 4-inch voice coil and 12 mm Xmax. Beyma publishes the operating range at 45 Hz–1.6 kHz.
That combination gives this driver a very specific job: move a lot of air, take real power and still reach high enough into the low/mid region to integrate into a serious multi-way system.
Twelve millimeters of Xmax is the part that makes this a real low-frequency driver.
A 12-inch cone gives us surface area. The 12 mm Xmax gives us the controlled travel needed to actually use that surface area at low frequencies.

What that solves: the driver can create serious bass and upper-bass output without asking a short-travel pro midbass speaker to do a subwoofer's job.

1,300 watts AES and a 4-inch voice coil give it the thermal platform to work hard.
The 12SCF1300FE uses a 4-inch / 101.6 mm voice coil and carries a manufacturer rating of 1,300 watts AES / 2,600 watts program.
That is serious thermal capacity, but the power number is only useful when the enclosure and crossover keep the cone inside its mechanical limits.
A 1,300-watt driver can still be damaged by the wrong enclosure, too much energy below the box tuning or an amplifier being driven into clipping.
This is not a “buy the biggest amp and send it” speaker. The enclosure, amplifier, limiting and crossover have to be designed as one system.
The carbon-fiber cone is doing real work here.
Exact-model technical data specifies a water-resistant carbon-fiber cone with treated cloth suspension.
At this power and excursion level, cone rigidity matters. If the diaphragm flexes while the voice coil is trying to move it hard, some of the amplifier's energy turns into cone breakup instead of controlled acoustic output.
Carbon fiber gives Beyma a stiff diaphragm that can handle high mechanical stress while the treated construction also makes sense for motorcycle, powersports and other exposed mobile installations.
We are talking about the cone and treated components here—not claiming the complete loudspeaker is submersible or assigning it an environmental rating Beyma does not publish.
94 dB sensitivity is strong for a driver with this much excursion and power handling.
Beyma publishes the 12SCF1300FE at 94 dB sensitivity.
That is not the 101 dB efficiency of a dedicated large-format midrange, but those speakers are not moving 12 mm one way or handling this kind of low-frequency duty.
The 12SCF1300FE balances efficiency with real displacement.
The practical result: it can make serious low-frequency output without starting from the very low sensitivity numbers common to some long-travel car-audio subwoofers.
The 45 Hz–1.6 kHz range tells you this can do more than deep bass.
Beyma publishes the 12SCF1300FE from 45 Hz to 1.6 kHz.
That does not mean we should run a 12-inch carbon-fiber woofer all the way to 1.6 kHz in every vehicle. It means the driver has enough upper extension to work as a true low-frequency / midbass section rather than being locked into a narrow subwoofer-only band.
In a large multi-way system, we can hand it off to a dedicated midrange where dispersion and system layout make sense. In a simpler system, the available upper extension gives us more crossover flexibility.
The lower published number is also not a universal box-tuning or high-pass target. The enclosure decides how the driver behaves in the finished system.
The ferrite motor is the value tradeoff—not a performance defect.
The 12SCF1300FE uses a ferrite motor and weighs about 29.5 lb. in detailed published data.
The neodymium 12SCF1300ND exists for the customer who needs essentially the same core acoustic platform with substantially less motor weight.
12SCF1300FE: choose the ferrite version when weight is manageable and the build would rather put the money into the rest of the system.
12SCF1300ND: choose the neodymium version when the speaker is going into a motorcycle lid, removable panel, weight-sensitive enclosure or other application where taking roughly eleven pounds off each driver matters.
Both solve the same acoustic problem. The motor technology changes the installation problem.
Where we would use the 12SCF1300FE.
This makes sense in high-output motorcycle bags, large custom enclosures, demo-style systems, powersports builds and other installations where a 12-inch needs real low-frequency excursion without giving up all of its upper-bass and low-mid capability.
Detailed model data specifically supports ported, band-pass and horn-loaded low-frequency systems. The right alignment still depends on the vehicle, available volume and output target.
With DSP and proper limiting, we can set the low-frequency protection around the actual enclosure, choose the upper handoff to the next driver, then control level, EQ, phase and timing so the woofer sounds attached to the rest of the system instead of like a separate bass source.
