Beyma PRO12MND 12-Inch Neodymium High-Efficiency Midbass/Midrange
If the system needs a 12-inch speaker to move real air through the midbass and lower mids but still get brutally loud without wasting amplifier power, the PRO12MND is the high-efficiency answer.
Beyma rates the PRO12MND at 700 watts AES, with 101 dB sensitivity, a published 50 Hz–4 kHz range, a 4-inch voice coil and 8 mm Xmax in a neodymium motor platform.
That combination is what makes this driver different. It has substantially more excursion and low-frequency capability than a narrow-band dedicated midrange, but it keeps the kind of sensitivity we normally associate with a serious pro-audio vocal driver.
101 dB sensitivity changes how much amplifier it takes to get serious output.
Beyma publishes the PRO12MND at 101 dB sensitivity.
That is a huge advantage when the system has multiple high-output channels competing for electrical capacity. An efficient speaker starts louder before we ever add more amplifier power.
What that solves: the 12-inch low/mid section can keep up with a strong bass system and aggressive upper-mid/high-frequency section without needing an absurd amount of power just to stay in the fight.
That matters in motorcycles, Jeeps, powersports vehicles, demo-style systems and large custom doors where output is the goal but amplifier space and current draw still have limits.
Eight millimeters of Xmax gives this high-efficiency driver real physical movement.
Beyma publishes 8 mm Xmax for the PRO12MND.
That is important because high sensitivity alone does not create midbass impact. The cone still needs useful travel if it is going to reproduce kick drum, upper bass and lower-midrange energy at high level.
The PRO12MND gives us both: large 12-inch cone area, high sensitivity and enough excursion to make the lower part of the speaker system feel physical instead of only loud.
This is why the driver is more than a giant vocal midrange.
700 watts AES and a 4-inch coil give the efficiency real thermal headroom.
The PRO12MND uses a 4-inch voice coil and carries a current Beyma rating of 700 watts AES.
That gives the driver serious thermal capacity for sustained high-output use.
But 700 watts only helps if the crossover and enclosure keep the speaker inside its mechanical limits. At lower frequencies, excursion can become the limit before thermal power does.
The right amplifier is the one that fits the complete system design—not simply the biggest number that can be connected to the terminals.
The 50 Hz–4 kHz range makes this a real low/mid system driver.
Beyma publishes the PRO12MND from 50 Hz to 4 kHz.
That broad operating range gives us a lot of flexibility. It can sit above a dedicated subwoofer and carry a large portion of the midbass and lower-midrange section, or it can be narrowed into a more focused role beneath a dedicated midrange.
The 4 kHz upper extension does not mean a 12-inch cone should automatically be run that high in every vehicle. Dispersion, speaker location and the driver above it still determine the best handoff.
The 50 Hz lower number is also capability, not a universal crossover target. The actual enclosure and output requirement decide how low we should ask it to work.
The neodymium motor matters because a serious 12-inch does not have to become a structural problem.
A large ferrite motor can add substantial mass to a door, motorcycle lid, removable panel or fabricated enclosure.
The PRO12MND uses a neodymium motor so the system can get the magnetic force needed for this level of output without relying on the same amount of heavy ferrite material.
That makes the motor technology part of the installation decision, not just an expensive word in the product title.
PRO12MND versus PRO12WFE.
PRO12WFE: 500 watts AES, 97 dB sensitivity, 35 Hz–4 kHz and 5 mm Xmax. Choose it when the system wants a more woofer-oriented ferrite 12-inch with a lower published response and strong value.
PRO12MND: 700 watts AES, 101 dB sensitivity, 50 Hz–4 kHz and 8 mm Xmax with a neodymium motor. Choose it when the system needs substantially more output per watt, more excursion and reduced motor mass.
The PRO12WFE leans toward woofer duty. The PRO12MND leans toward extreme high-output low/mid performance.
PRO12MND versus 12SCF1300ND.
12SCF1300ND: 1,300 watts AES, 12 mm Xmax and 94 dB sensitivity. Choose it when low-frequency displacement and power handling are the priority.
PRO12MND: 700 watts AES, 8 mm Xmax and 101 dB sensitivity. Choose it when the system needs far more acoustic efficiency and broader high-output midrange capability, with less emphasis on maximum low-frequency excursion.
Both are serious 12-inch neodymium drivers. They solve almost opposite system problems.
Where we would use the PRO12MND.
This makes sense in large motorcycle and powersports speaker systems, Jeep and open-cabin builds, custom doors, speaker walls and high-output multi-way systems where the 12-inch needs to create scale, punch and vocal/lower-mid authority without becoming a power-hungry conventional woofer.
It is especially strong below a dedicated high-efficiency midrange or compression driver. The PRO12MND can handle the large-cone low/mid work while the smaller driver takes over where directivity and upper-frequency detail matter more.
With DSP, we can choose the lower crossover around the actual enclosure, set the upper handoff around the next driver, then manage EQ, phase, level and timing so the 12-inch adds impact without pulling the whole system toward its physical location.
The result: a 12-inch Beyma that combines serious cone area, 8 mm excursion and a huge 101 dB sensitivity rating for systems that need the low/mid section to get extremely loud without solving every problem with more amplifier power.

System Design Guidance
The published frequency range is not a universal crossover recommendation. Final enclosure loading, crossover points, amplifier power, limiting and DSP settings must be selected around the actual installation and the drivers used above and below the PRO12MND.
