These speakers have to work where wind, road noise, mounting space and exposure change the job. Match the driver to the actual location, output target, amplifier power and environment instead of treating it like a normal door-speaker replacement.

Beyma PRO5W/ND 5-Inch Neodymium Midbass/Midrange
When the mounting location is small and the system needs efficient, clean midrange with useful midbass support, the PRO5W/ND is the lighter, more efficiency-focused 5-inch Beyma option.
Beyma built the PRO5W/ND around a 5-inch cone, 4-ohm load, 1.5-inch aluminum voice coil and neodymium motor. It handles 100 watts RMS / 200 watts program, produces 95 dB sensitivity and carries a published 90 Hz–9 kHz response.
That makes it a very different choice from the PRO5Q200ND even though both fit into the same general small-driver category.
PRO5W/ND is the efficiency-first 5-inch.
Beyma publishes the PRO5W/ND at 95 dB sensitivity, three decibels higher than the current PRO5Q200ND rating.
That is the main reason to choose it. When the driver does not need to make deep midbass through a lot of excursion, the PRO5W/ND turns amplifier power into useful acoustic output very efficiently.
What that solves: a small motorcycle pod, dash location or custom panel can produce strong vocals and lower-midrange detail without requiring a huge amplifier or a larger speaker that simply will not fit.
The 2 mm Xmax tells us what not to ask it to do.
Beyma publishes 2 mm Xmax for the PRO5W/ND.
That is substantially less linear travel than the Q-series 5-inch. This is not a flaw; it tells us the driver is optimized around a different balance of efficiency, bandwidth and cone movement.
If the system needs a small speaker to create as much low-frequency displacement as possible, the PRO5Q200ND is the better direction. If the lower frequencies are already being handled by a proper midbass or subwoofer and we want the 5-inch to stay efficient and clean through the midrange, PRO5W/ND makes more sense.
The 90 Hz–9 kHz range gives us broad usable bandwidth—but the installation still decides the crossover.
Beyma publishes the PRO5W/ND from 90 Hz to 9 kHz.
That broad response gives the installer flexibility, especially in compact two- and three-way systems. It does not mean we automatically run the driver from 90 Hz all the way to 9 kHz at full output.
The high-pass depends on the enclosure, required volume and the driver below it. The low-pass depends on the tweeter or high-frequency section and where dispersion makes the most sense.
The benefit is that we are not boxed into one narrow crossover window.
Beyma specifies the rear volume instead of leaving the back of the cone undefined.
The manufacturer publishes a 10–20 liter / 0.35–0.7 cu. ft. recommended enclosure range.
That matters when the PRO5W/ND is installed in a pod, chamber or fabricated panel. The acoustic space behind the cone affects the lower response and control of the driver.
We would rather build the rear environment around what the speaker was designed to see than mount it into a random cavity and then try to EQ the consequences away.
The neodymium motor is there to reduce weight, not just to make the spec sheet sound expensive.
Beyma specifically calls out the PRO5W/ND's low weight due to the neodymium magnet system.
That is useful in motorcycle fairings, powersports pods and custom panels where several speakers can add a surprising amount of mass to the structure.
The published mounting depth is only 73.5 mm / 2.89 inches, so the compact motor package also helps when rear clearance is tight.
PRO5W/ND or PRO5Q200ND?
PRO5W/ND: 100 watts RMS, 95 dB sensitivity, 90 Hz–9 kHz and 2 mm Xmax. Choose it when efficiency, compact neo weight and clean broad-band midrange are the priority.
PRO5Q200ND: 150 watts AES, 92 dB sensitivity, 70 Hz–10 kHz and 5.7 mm Xmax. Choose it when the same small footprint needs substantially more cone travel and stronger low-frequency capability.
The Q-series can do more mechanical work lower. The W/ND does more with each watt in the range where it is strongest.
Where we would use it.
This is a good fit for compact motorcycle or powersports pods, dash locations, small custom doors and multi-way systems where a 5-inch driver needs to stay light, efficient and clean.
It also makes sense as a dedicated midrange above a larger midbass driver. In that role, we can high-pass the PRO5W/ND comfortably above its excursion limit and take advantage of the sensitivity instead of wasting cone travel on bass.
With DSP, the crossover, level, EQ and timing can be set around the actual mounting location so the small driver integrates into the stage instead of drawing attention to itself.
The result: a compact 5-inch Beyma that prioritizes efficiency, broad clean midrange and low motor weight for installations where space matters more than maximum excursion.

System Design Guidance
The published 90 Hz lower response is not a universal high-pass recommendation. Final rear volume, crossover points, amplifier power and DSP settings must be chosen around the actual installation and output target.
