Description
DB Drive WDX1TW-MOTO Motorcycle Tweeters — Pair
Motorcycle system plays plenty loud through the mids, but the vocals lose their edge and the top end disappears once road, wind, and exhaust noise come up? That is what the WDX1TW-MOTO is for. This pair adds the high-frequency output a loud motorcycle or powersports system needs without forcing a large horn or bulky pro-audio driver into the fairing or panel.
DB Drive rates the pair at 150 watts nominal power, 225 watts maximum, 4 ohms, and 101.4 dB sensitivity, with a published response of 4 kHz–22.5 kHz. The aluminum dome, silk surround, and neodymium motor with rear resonance chamber are aimed at keeping the top end clear when the rest of the system is playing hard.
The mounting flexibility is one of the main reasons we would use this set. DB Drive includes hardware for both surface and flush mounting, so the tweeter location can be chosen around the fairing, dash, pod, or custom panel instead of forcing the install around one mounting method. A 6 dB/octave passive crossover is included for basic high-pass protection.
What they will not do: these are dedicated high-frequency drivers. DB Drive publishes their response beginning at 4 kHz, so they are not meant to fill a missing midrange or replace a full-range speaker. If the system has a hole below that range, the fix is in the midrange, crossover, or speaker layout—not by asking the tweeters to play lower.

Where this fits in the build
These speakers have to work where wind, road noise, mounting space and exposure change the job. Match the driver to the actual location, output target, amplifier power and environment instead of treating it like a normal door-speaker replacement.
