Description

GALEFORCE AUDIO F3 6.5-INCH MARINE-GRADE 2-WAY PRO-AUDIO SPEAKER

WHY THIS ONE MAKES SENSE
The F3 6.5 is for a high-output build that needs the F3 architecture but still has to live in a smaller opening, tighter panel, or dense multi-speaker layout. GaleForce rates the woofer section at 250–400W RMS and the horn at 125W RMS. The woofer is published at 70 Hz–6,000 Hz and the horn at 3,000 Hz–20,000 Hz, with a 4-inch mounting depth.

Compared with the F3 8, the 6.5 gives up a little nominal woofer handling and published low-frequency extension, but saves half an inch of mounting depth. The 8 is rated at 250–450W RMS on the woofer, reaches 65 Hz on the published response, and needs 4.5 inches of depth. If an 8 does not fit the mounting location correctly, the 6.5 is the smarter package.

WHERE IT FITS IN A REAL SYSTEM
The woofer and horn sections are bi-ampable. In a properly designed amplifier/DSP system, that gives the installer separate control over level, crossover, and EQ instead of treating the whole speaker like a basic factory coaxial. That flexibility is useful, but it also means the F3 is not the simple low-power drop-in route. For that kind of job, the F1 is the cleaner choice.

Where this fits in the build

These speakers have to work where wind, road noise, mounting space and exposure change the job. Match the driver to the actual location, output target, amplifier power and environment instead of treating it like a normal door-speaker replacement.
