Pick the Controller Around the Lighting System, Not Just the Price

If you choose Color-Chase RGB — Addressable on a Lit FX ring or panel, the controller is what turns those LEDs into an actual lighting system. It tells the lights what color to show, how they move, how fast the effects run and how the addressable sections behave. Without the right controller, chase lighting is just LEDs with no brain.

If you are running Solid Red, Solid Blue or Solid Green, you do not need one of these addressable chase controllers. Those fixed-color versions are a different lighting setup.

Which One Makes Sense?

Basic Chase LED Controller

This is the simple option when you need basic addressable-light control and do not need the app features or multi-output layout of the larger controllers. Use it for a straightforward compatible Lit FX chase-light setup when phone control and advanced multi-output routing are not required.

Included with this variant: one basic chase LED controller.

SP630E — Bluetooth / App Controller

This is our normal starting point for most Lit FX color-chase builds. BTF-LIGHTING builds the SP630E as an all-in-one Bluetooth controller that can run addressable SPI LEDs as well as several PWM LED types. For Lit FX addressable products, the part that matters is the app control: the BanlanX app gives you dynamic effects, static colors, music modes, custom settings, timers and color-order correction from a phone instead of relying on a tiny standalone button controller.

The SP630E also supports compatible 2.4 GHz remotes and wall panels, but those are separate accessories unless they are specifically listed with the product. This Lit FX variant is for the controller itself.

SP608E — Bluetooth 8-Output Controller

Use the SP608E when the lighting is spread across a bigger build and one signal output is no longer the cleanest way to route it. BTF-LIGHTING gives the SP608E eight independent signal outputs, with support for common single-wire addressable LED protocols such as WS2811, WS2812B, WS2813, WS2815 and 1903-family pixels.

BTF publishes support for up to 4,800 controllable pixels total — up to 600 pixels per output — with Bluetooth app control, built-in music and non-music effects, adjustable effect parameters and a 5–24V operating range. That makes it the better fit when one Jeep, truck, bike or show build has lighting branching into several different areas and you want the controller architecture to stay organized.

Where the Controller Fits in the System

The controller creates the LED commands. It does not replace the wiring needed to reach every ring or panel, and it does not replace a properly sized, fused power feed. Depending on the layout, you may also need 3-pin pigtails, extensions, signal splitters or repeaters.

Before You Plug It In

Match the controller to the LED voltage, data protocol and connector pinout used by the lighting product. Do not assume wire color alone identifies power, data and ground. The controller voltage must match the LED system voltage.

Power and ground for the lighting system should be sized and fused for the total LED load. On a larger multi-branch system, separate power injection may still be required even when one controller handles the data signal.
