MMATS Pro Audio CX Series
The CX Series combines a large cone-body midbass/midrange driver with a compression-style high-frequency section mounted through the pole piece. That lets one chassis cover a much wider usable range than a conventional pro-audio mid while keeping the acoustic centers physically close together.
Why we use it: CX is a strong fit for baggers, stunt walls and high-output custom panels where space is limited but the system still needs both punch and high-frequency projection. MMATS lists the CX platform in 10, 12 and 15-inch sizes with 4-ohm and 8-ohm versions.
Choose the version by the system
- 10-inch: easiest packaging and fastest transition into the upper midrange.
- 12-inch: more cone area and midbass authority when the panel has room.
- 15-inch: maximum cone area for very large high-output builds.
- 4Ω vs 8Ω: select impedance around amplifier channel count and final load—not by preference alone.
What it will not do
CX is not a subwoofer replacement. It still needs a properly crossed low-frequency section below it, and the enclosure/panel must be rigid enough to support a large high-output driver.

Where this fits in the build
These speakers have to work where wind, road noise, mounting space and exposure change the job. Match the driver to the actual location, output target, amplifier power and environment instead of treating it like a normal door-speaker replacement.
